Central hub for the logistics of the future in Oslo
COOP Norway’s central warehouse in Oslo, boasting an impressive storage capacity of 1.25 million cubic meters, plays a crucial role in supporting the national logistics structure and streamlining the company’s distribution network. Situated in the Østland region, the warehouse is strategically located in terms of logistics, with short distances to the airport and the main market in the Oslo area.
With a focus on functionality and sustainability, the warehouse is equipped with the newest technologies and solutions in the warehouse and logistics industry of the era. Environmentally friendly initiatives such as energy recovery systems are integrated into the construction to ensure optimal and sustainable operations. This is part of the overall design philosophy that characterizes the project, where functionality, aesthetics, and environmental considerations are impressively combined.
The building’s many exciting details reflect the company’s commitment to efficient warehouses. From architectural elements such as sun-shielding wooden panels to practical solutions in the 43 truck ports, the warehouse is a beautiful example of the integration of aesthetics and functionality. With a focus on innovative measures like wall panels for optimal indoor climate and indoor greenery, the project demonstrates possibilities of creating a modern, sustainable, and pleasant working environment.
