An office with surprising illusions of perspective
DSV’s offices in Düsseldorf are made with innovative aesthetic elements in an impressive architectural design that generates surprising optical illusions. The administrative building is crafted with a dynamic expression to captivate the onlooker’s attention upon arrival. The two building volumes are elegantly angled relative to each other, resulting in a unique and dynamic aesthetic. The atrium, where the entrance is located, unfolds for the viewer, offering a surprising experience of perspective.
The warehouse terminal is clad in steel sandwich panels, beautifully reflecting the light from the surroundings. These panels are specially developed in close collaboration between DSV and Norrplan A/S. The two buildings are connected by the black, elongated atrium, where the main staircase forms a continuous connection throughout the building. The landings on each floor act as bridges, uniting the two buildings into a cohesive whole while creating a natural connection between the floors.
