Inviting canteen in luxurious materials
Norrplan developed an exciting interior project for JYSK in Brabrand. The task was to expand the existing cafeteria and create a large, inviting cafeteria with zone divisions, good acoustics, and furnished with a functional and flexible design.
The space has been divided into three zones with varying ceiling heights and natural light sources, along with lamella room dividers in oak veneer. Our focus was on creating different atmospheres and functions in the three areas while ensuring that the expansion and existing space were experienced as one whole. The cafeteria is furnished with foldable tables and stackable chairs, allowing the room to be opened up for large gatherings and events.
At the back of the room is a cozy lounge area with seating niches accommodating six people each. These small spaces are used throughout the day for smaller meetings, group work, and lunch breaks, alleviating pressure on the existing meeting rooms.
In the center is the café area, surrounded by room dividers on plywood lamellas and Fibertex acoustic panels. Along all walls, there are built-in benches in a raw concrete look, matching the exposed oak floors and refined oak slats throughout the space.
