Coop Oslo Selects Us for the Third Time to Lead Their Next Major Expansion

We are proud to announce that Norrplan has once again been selected as the lead architect and consultant for the continued expansion of Coop’s central storage facilities in Oslo. This marks the third significant expansion phase we will oversee, a testament to the enduring value of a robust, long-term architectural strategy.

Our involvement with this critical logistics hub began years ago with the development of the original masterplan. From the outset, our strategy was not just to design a building but to design a framework for growth. We established the initial logistical lines and structural grid to accommodate future scalability, anticipating the very expansion we are executing today.

The full masterplan envisions a total of 5–6 expansion phases. By adhering to this long-term blueprint, Coop can scale its operations with minimal disruption and maximum cost efficiency. This project perfectly illustrates the Norrplan philosophy: true industrial architecture is about planning for the next decade, not just the next deadline.
