Norrplan attended the Build in Wood Conference in Copenhagen last week – Denmark’s leading conference on timber construction.

As architects specialising in industrial and logistics development, we see increasing relevance for new material strategies, timber solutions, and hybrid construction methods in the future of industrial facilities. There is still much to learn in building with wood, which is why we actively participate in conferences, networks, and industry discussions across the sector.

One of the insightful presentations came from Christian Nørgaard, Project Director at KIRKBI A/S, who shared experiences with timber and bio-based construction in the development of Travbyen.

It was valuable to engage with industry leaders, innovators, and researchers driving this development forward.
