Inspired By: Empty Industrial Buildings

Last week, we attended the UIA World Congress of Architects 2026 Barcelona. We were very inspired by the former Sant Adrià de Besòs Thermal Power Station, which was transformed into an exhibition venue.

The project is a good example of how empty industrial buildings can be repurposed. This both extends the facility’s life while creating spaces with a unique identity.

We see potential in using existing buildings and how they can support new, dual, or multiple uses over time. Reusing what we already have creates more resource-efficient places for the future.
