Large-scale logistics hub in South Africa
An additional 10,000 m² office building has been added to DSV’s logistics centre in Plumbago, South Africa. The associated warehouse, covering 120,000 m², is designed to maximize operational efficiency while promoting sustainability and a healthy work environment. In collaboration with DBM Architects, we ensured that the visual expression reflects DSV’s global ambitions while adapting to local conditions in South Africa.
The integration of facilities—including 10,000 m² for administration, 79,000 m² for warehousing, and 41,000 m² for cross-docking—enables a fully consolidated supply chain under one roof. The site is equipped with solar panels, LED lighting with motion sensors, and energy-saving systems, reducing both operating costs and the building’s CO₂ footprint. To further optimize operations, the building incorporates advanced technologies such as automated sorting systems, allowing efficient handling of large volumes of goods while increasing storage capacity.
This logistics hub is designed as a long-term investment that will create value for owners and tenants for years to come, meeting future demands through efficient, sustainable, and scalable design.
