The DSV project which set the new standard
During the realization of DSV Paris, we developed a design standard for all future DSV headquarters, warehouse, and cross-docking constructions. DSV Paris is therefore an exemplary project for the expression and spirit of the decades-long collaboration between Norrplan and DSV.
The cross-docking terminal is designed with a solid concrete base, broken by vertical grooves, creating a rhythmic visual effect. At the top, aluminum panels in two gray shades are arranged in a pattern that provides recognizability and vitality to the structure, even from a distance. This iconic design concept has since been applied in warehouses on other projects to maintain coherence and continuity across DSV projects.
The office building forms a central element in the complex with a relieving effect in the combination of facade panels and the prominent white colour, conveying purity, simplicity, and elegance. Inside, slat-clad functional cores create a warm and inviting atmosphere, while minimizing isolation. Additionally, several pieces of furniture, including the reception, are custom-designed for the task and later adapted for use in other DSV offices.
