Development of a headquarters and warehouse with a clear design profile

The project has been developed as a modern central warehouse with an integrated headquarters and showroom, where functionality, architectural quality, and Nordic values are unified in a clear and coherent whole. The client sought a project with a strong and distinctive architectural identity that reflects the company’s profile as a Danish design brand, while also supporting efficient logistics and providing representative facilities.

The warehouse building appears robust and calm, with a concrete pattern of vertical ribs and variations in depth that create rhythm, shadow, and a lively façade expression. The light, tactile concrete scales down the building’s large volume and lends it a timeless Nordic character, where functionality and aesthetics go hand in hand. In contrast, the office and showroom façades stand apart from the warehouse’s heavy concrete. Slender lamellas and large glazed areas create transparency, daylight, and depth, giving the buildings an open, welcoming, and representative appearance. The interplay between heavy and light façades highlights the company’s design identity in a clear and elegant manner.

The central warehouse functions as the project’s logistical backbone, with large contiguous floor areas, rational circulation zones, and well-integrated loading facilities that ensure efficient goods handling. The headquarters building is distinctive yet inviting, with a strong focus on daylight, views, and visual connections that create an inspiring working environment. The showroom presents products in bright, calm, and flexible settings, where materials, proportions, and light support the narrative of quality, design, and functionality.

The forecourt in front of the headquarters is designed as an active outdoor area where social gatherings and events can take place beneath stretched canopy sails that both provide shelter and create a strong visual identity. The landscape design integrates green zones, planting, and rainwater management, binding buildings, parking areas, and landscape together into a harmonious whole.

Overall, the central warehouse, headquarters, and showroom appear as a fully integrated solution in which the robustness of concrete, the rhythm and transparency of the façades, and functional logistics are combined with a clear Danish design identity and flexible outdoor spaces that support both the company’s profile and social activities.
