As part of the development of Everllence’s new Valley Campus in Hedeland, Norrplan has been responsible for the façade and material concept for the production and warehouse building. The campus masterplan and architectural concept were developed by Arkitema, while Norrplan refined and developed the façade design for the production and warehouse facilities based on the campus’ overarching architectural vision.

The façade concept is built around a unified architectural language that connects the various buildings across the campus. The production and warehouse building is designed with a robust concrete base in warm grey tones combined with dark green metal façades and lighter green volumes defining the high-bay warehouse areas.

The building is integrated into the surrounding landscape through a balanced palette of colours and materials. The darker concrete base relates to the ground surfaces and creates a strong and durable foundation, while the dark green horizontal façade elements anchor the building within the landscape’s green character. The lighter green upper volumes reference the sky and contribute to a lighter and more subdued expression for the large-scale industrial structure.

Particular focus has been placed on the detailing and tactile quality of the façade concept. Relief patterns in the concrete base, integrated timber elements, and vertical planting have been important architectural features in shaping the character of the building and creating a more welcoming scale and identity for the industrial environment.

Norrplan’s work has focused on developing a façade solution that supports both the functional requirements of a modern production and warehouse facility and the ambition of creating a cohesive, landscape-integrated campus environment. At the same time, the design development has ensured that the building remains buildable within the economic framework of the project and in compliance with the local planning regulations.
