Headquarters for a design company

Development of architecture, function, and identity in one complex

The project is based on the desire for a cohesive, contemporary commercial complex, specifically developed for a design company, where architecture and function mutually reinforce the company’s identity and work. The complex is organized so that the different functions are clearly legible, while forming a unified structure that supports operations, representation, and creative activity.

The architectural approach deliberately works with contrasts and layering. Large volumes are shaped with geometric precision, while the façades add a human scale and a nuanced interplay of light and shadow. Vertical elements and variation in the façade expression give character and depth, creating a calm yet dynamic appearance that changes with daylight.

The showroom is located at the top of the complex as a cantilevered “display tray,” making a strong visual statement within the building composition. The projecting volume is supported by sculptural columns, which both sustain the structure and highlight the main entrance. This approach creates a striking and recognizable identity for the entire complex – headquarters, warehouse, and showroom – uniting the functions in a single clear architectural motif that connects arrival, representation, and movement.

The transition between the more enclosed and open parts of the building is a central architectural strategy. Transparency, views, and visual connections frame the representative functions. Large glazed areas and lightweight façade elements open the building to its surroundings and ensure excellent daylight conditions, while also making it inviting and approachable – in line with the design company’s open and creative profile.

Inside, clear structures and flexible spaces accommodate both daily operations and future adaptations. The relationship between workspaces, common areas, and visitor functions is prioritized to create natural circulation through the building and a work environment defined by openness, oversight, and variation.
