Award-winning distribution warehouse is the first of its kind in Denmark
Despite its size and height, the building manages to nestle into the open surrounding landscape, which can be enjoyed from the guest accommodations on the top level above the office and reception area. The building structure is conceived as broken-up smaller units, giving the impression of a series of buildings. This provides a greater sense of lightness in the expression and is also easy to build upon.
The original warehouse construction from 2008 comprised 67,400 m², and in 2018, it was expanded by an additional 36,000 m² to a total size of 103,400 m². The 2018 expansion sets new standards for fully automated warehouses in Denmark. It is the first of its kind in Denmark and replaces JYSK’s other warehouses in the country, serving over 200 JYSK stores in Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom, as well as around 100 franchise stores worldwide.
