Rema 1000, Vinterbro

An Innovative Investment in the Future

REMA 1000’s new central warehouse in Vinterbro represents a strategic investment in Norway’s distribution infrastructure. As a central warehouse for the entire country, the facility is designed with future logistics needs in mind. This highly automated facility is divided into four temperature zones to ensure optimal storage and distribution of goods.

The building’s facade consists of smooth steel sandwich panels in three complementary shades of light and grey, providing a harmonious integration with the Norwegian landscape. The dark base, gradually lightening upwards, ensures the building naturally blends into its surroundings. The administration building contrasts with a raw white design, highlighted by a floating walkway and a rooftop terrace, creating a modern and dynamic work environment.

The facility’s architecture is both functional and aesthetically impressive. The integrated drive-through and the nearly double-height glass sections at the base give the illusion of a floating structure. This is complemented by vertical support lines and a facade that plays with depth and dimension through the use of cassettes in three varying depths.
